Normal sensations during the first days

- For 3 to 7 days, it is best to avoid hard and rigid food.
If the braces rub the soft tissues
- Use orthodontic wax: warm a small piece in your hands and place it over the bracket that is irritating the tissue.
- If a sore appears, the leaflet suggests using 0.05% chlorhexidine and Kamistad gel 3 times a day until healing.
- For significant discomfort, medication should be used only with your doctor’s approval.
