No staining foods for 1–2 daysAvoid abrasive whitening pastesFollow-up in 3–7 days

During the first 1 to 2 days

  • Avoid staining foods and drinks such as coffee, chocolate, red wine, brightly spiced dishes, and other strongly pigmented products.
  • Avoid very hot and very cold food and drinks.
  • Reduce excessive chewing load.

Daily care

  • Do not use interdental brushes or an irrigator during the first 1 to 2 days.
  • Choose a preventive daily toothpaste. Highly abrasive whitening toothpastes are not recommended.
  • If you have bruxism, use a protective night guard while sleeping.
  • Schedule professional hygiene every 3 to 4 months and a routine checkup with a restorative dentist at least once a year.

If you feel discomfort

Temporary discomfort may occur after veneer placement. This is usually related to tissue recovery after the procedure. For additional comfort, you may use a pain reliever recommended by your doctor.

When to contact your doctor

  • It is advisable to come for a follow-up visit 3 to 7 days after placement.
  • If you have questions or concerns, contact your dentist or the clinic administrator.
